iFi audio UP Travel

The UP Travel is a pocket-sized Bluetooth adapter with a switch for two jobs. In transmit mode (TX) you plug it into the headphone socket of an in-flight entertainment system or a laptop, or connect it over USB-C, and it sends the sound to your Bluetooth headphones or earbuds; it can serve two pairs at once, so two people can watch the same film. In receive mode (RX) you plug it into the AUX input of a car or stereo and stream from your phone, with LDAC, LHDC/HWA, aptX Adaptive, aptX LL, aptX, AAC and SBC on Bluetooth 5.2. As in iFi's larger products, Bluetooth and the DAC are separate stages, and the 3.5 mm output gives 70 mW into 32 Ω. It picks the best codec on its own, a button lets you check or change it, and the iFi Nexis app adds settings and firmware updates. A microphone with Qualcomm cVc noise and echo suppression handles calls, the battery lasts 10 hours or more, it weighs 25.7 g, and an aeroplane headphone adapter is in the box.
