iBasso Epitome

The Epitome is iBasso's flagship IEM, with twenty drivers in each earpiece: eight electrostatic drivers and twelve balanced armatures, divided over the frequency range by a five-way crossover built with through-hole components. Electrostatic drivers are very thin, light films that are good at fine treble detail, while balanced armatures are small, precise drivers that can be grouped per frequency band. The 3D-printed resin shells are shaped for a secure fit, and the faceplate has a sparkling gradient that shifts with the light, so each pair looks slightly different. The 0.78 mm 2-pin cable is 5N monocrystalline copper in a Litz construction, with swappable 3.5 mm, 4.4 mm balanced and USB-C plugs. iBasso adds a second cable made of a new silver-plated alloy as a gift; it is not covered by the warranty, because its long-term durability hasn't been fully tested yet.
