Cookie policy

Which cookies and similar technologies Aurel Audio uses, and how to change your choice.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Local storage works in a similar way. Below is exactly what we use.

Necessary and functional (always on)

These make the shop work and don’t need your consent:

  • NEXT_LOCALE (cookie, 1 year): remembers the language you pick.
  • aurel-consent (cookie, 1 year): remembers your cookie choice.
  • aurel:v1 (local storage, until you clear it): your cart and compare list.

Mollie, Klarna and PayPal set their own cookies on their payment pages.

Analytics (only with consent)

If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use the shop so we can improve it. Google Analytics 4 doesn’t store IP addresses, and we don’t use the data for advertising.

  • _ga (cookie, 2 years): tells visitors apart.
  • _ga_<ID> (cookie, 2 years): keeps track of your visit.

Visitor statistics without cookies

We count visits with GoatCounter, which runs on our own server in Amsterdam. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses and builds no profiles: we only see which pages are viewed, which website visitors come from, and roughly which device and country. That needs no consent.

Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time with ‘Cookie settings’ at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we delete the cookies of that category. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser.
