How it sounds
Frequency response
Dashed line: the Harman IE 2019 target
Measured by Melatonin (IEC 711 clone), published on squig.link. Independent measurement, not by us. Measuring rigs differ slightly above 8 kHz.
Sound signature
Warm
Rich lows and relaxed treble. Smooth and fatigue-free.
Read from the measurement above: bass and treble compared with Harman IE 2019. One curve gives an indication, not the final word.
A lot of bass from a small shell: from 20 to 250 Hz the EDS stays 3 to 5 dB above the target, so you get both the deep rumble and the thump of the kick drum. The upper mids rise towards 2.3 kHz and the treble peaks at 5 kHz (about 4 dB over the target), giving a lively, V-shaped sound. Suits pop, hip-hop and dance music, less so quiet acoustic recordings.
