Overview
The FD15 is a single dynamic-driver IEM built around a 13.8 mm driver with a magnesium-aluminium diaphragm, a DLC (diamond-like carbon) gasket and a magnet system of about 1.5 tesla. A prism-shaped part in front of the driver and FiiO's "Tesla valve" channel in the shell are there to guide the sound and strengthen the bass. The closed housing is 316L stainless steel, hand-polished with a PVD finish; this is the Obsidian Black version. Two pairs of screw-on nozzles change the sound: FiiO describes the red one as adding bass and lusher vocals, and the black one as giving clearer treble. The 1.2 m cable is braided from 480 wires of Furukawa monocrystalline copper and silver-plated copper, with expanded MMCX connectors and swappable 3.5 and 4.4 mm plugs, and at 32 Ω and 112 dB/mW it plays well from a phone or dongle.

How it sounds
Frequency response
Dashed line: the Harman IE 2019 target
Measured by Aftersound (IEC 711 clone), published on squig.link. Independent measurement, not by us. Measuring rigs differ slightly above 8 kHz.
Sound signature
Warm
Rich lows and relaxed treble. Smooth and fatigue-free.
Read from the measurement above: bass and treble compared with Harman IE 2019. One curve gives an indication, not the final word.
The FD15 keeps things calm: bass and mids follow the target, with slightly less deep bass, while everything from 2 to 8 kHz stays about 6 dB under it. Voices sound warm and soft and cymbals stay in the background, so long sessions are easy; if you like a crisp, bright sound, it may feel too dark. Measured with the black nozzles; the red pair in the box changes the sound and isn't shown in this graph.
