Overview
The NEO iDSD 3 is a desktop DAC, headphone amplifier and preamplifier in one box, meant to be the centre of a headphone or speaker system. Its PureWave circuit is fully balanced and dual mono, and it decodes PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD512. The 4.4 mm balanced output delivers over 2500 mW into 64 Ω and the 6.3 mm jack 2244 mW into 32 Ω, with four gain settings and iEMatch for sensitive IEMs. New in this third generation are JVCKENWOOD's K2 and K2HD modes, and the analogue XBass II, XSpace and XPresence options adjust bass, space and presence for your headphones. It takes USB, optical, coaxial, Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Lossless and LDAC, and an analogue RCA input, and drives speakers or a power amp from XLR and RCA outputs with fixed or variable level. It stands flat or upright, with a 2-inch colour screen that rotates with it; the iPower2 power supply and a remote control are included.
