Overview
The iDSD Diablo 2 is a battery-powered DAC and headphone amplifier in a red aluminium case, built for hard-to-drive headphones at home, at work and on the road. It decodes PCM up to 768 kHz, DSD512 and MQA with a dual-core Burr-Brown DAC design, and receives Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, LDAC and LHDC. The fully balanced PureWave amplifier delivers up to 5180 mW into 32 Ω (peak) from the 4.4 mm output, with three power modes: Normal for IEMs, Turbo for average headphones and Nitro for the most demanding ones. A separate mode with its own bias and EQ circuits drives the new xMEMS solid-state earphone drivers, and iEMatch keeps sensitive IEMs quiet. It can also run as a pure DAC. The 4800 mAh battery powers it on the go, and the iPower2 supply and an iTraveller case are included.
