FiiO FP3

The FP3 is FiiO's planar IEM. Instead of a cone, a planar driver moves a very thin film with a conductive pattern on it between magnets; FiiO developed its own 14.5 mm version with a 1 μm diaphragm coated with both titanium and aluminium, driven by 14 N52 magnets, seven on each side. A channel structure inside the shell, which FiiO calls a Tesla valve, is designed to deepen the bass. The front of the shell is 3D-printed and the faceplate is solid black walnut; at about 6.5 g per earpiece it is light for a planar IEM, and FiiO shaped it to touch less of your ear. With 36 Ω and 105 dB/mW it runs from a phone dongle or a player, and the 0.78 mm 2-pin cable ends in a 3.5 mm plug. The FP3 TC is the same earphone with a USB-C cable.
