The ZAS goes for a big, warm sound: between 60 and 250 Hz it adds about 4 dB, and it lifts the region around 2 kHz by roughly the same amount, which brings vocals and guitars forward. Above 3 kHz it calms down: between 5 and 8 kHz it sits about 4 dB under the target, so it rarely turns sharp. At its best with vocals, rock and band recordings; if you want lots of sparkle up top, choose a brighter model.
