The ZEX sounds warm and thick. Its bass hump peaks around 200 Hz at about 5 dB over the target, while the range from 2 to 5 kHz stays some 7.5 dB under it, so voices sound soft and slightly distant. Against that relaxed background, a narrow spike at 7.8 kHz stands out. Nice for long, quiet sessions and bass-led music, less so for detailed vocal recordings.
