Overview
The Nunchaku is a USB-C DAC and headphone amplifier with two small vacuum tubes inside, the military-grade Raytheon JAN6418. Two Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs convert the digital signal and support DSD512. You can switch between a tube mode, which iBasso describes as warm and natural, and a class-AB mode, which it describes as cleaner and more linear. It has a balanced 4.4 mm and a single-ended 3.5 mm output, so it works with both headphones and IEMs. A protective case and cables for USB-C and Lightning are included. Note: iBasso says the iPhone 17 models currently don't supply enough USB power for the Nunchaku.
