Overview
The QX13 is a pocket-sized USB-C DAC and headphone amplifier with a 1.99-inch colour screen; this black version has a carbon-fibre body. It combines an ESS ES9027SPRO DAC with an XMOS XU316 USB chip for PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit and native DSD512, and four TI INA1620 amplifier chips. In Desktop Mode, using the separate USB-C power port, the balanced 4.4 mm output delivers up to 900 mW per channel into 32 Ω; without it you still get about 605 mW. The screen shows format, sample rate, volume and gain, and a 10-band EQ with eight presets and your own settings is built in. The 3.5 mm output doubles as a coaxial digital output, and it works with computers, phones and consoles such as the PS5 and Nintendo Switch. A leather case and a screen protector are included.
