Overview
Desktop headphone amplifiers often have a balanced 4-pin XLR output, while portable gear and many newer headphone cables use the smaller 4.4 mm balanced plug. The LX-4.4M connects the two: it has a 4-pin XLR plug on one side and a 4.4 mm balanced socket on the other. Plug it into the XLR output of your amplifier and connect a headphone with a 4.4 mm cable, so the connection stays balanced all the way. FiiO suggests it for its own headphone cables with a 4.4 mm plug, such as the LL-RC and LL-RD series.
